Stephanie’s Adrenal Breakfast recipe

I recently found this recipe for a smoothie-type ‘drink.’ (It’s actually more like a thick spinach porridge. 🙂 ) It sounds and looks horrid, but it actually tastes good.

Here’s the recipe:

I blend it with my Ninja so that it tiny pieces, but not smooth. You can blend it more finely, if that’s what you prefer.

1.5 cups blueberries (I use frozen)

1-2 oranges

1 banana (I use 1/2 – I don’t particularly like banana in my smoothies)

2-4 cups fresh spinach

1 teaspoon Hawaiian spirulina

1 teaspoon barley grass juice powder

1/2 teaspoon Atlantic dulse

1-2 Tablespoons shelled hemp seed

vanilla, honey, cinnamon – to taste. (I use about 2 tsp cinnamon, a Tbs vanilla, and 1-2 tsp honey)

As I said, it looks awful, but it tastes good. Especially when the oranges are juicy and sweet.

And, no, you do not need any liquid.
